This summer, in a move away from our normal sports construction activities, we were project managers of a refurbishment of a playground at a private school in the centre of London. This involved managing collaboration between a furniture supplier and surfacing contractor, as well as replacing play equipment and more importantly solving the historical playground drainage problems that the school has faced.
Initially, the works comprised of extensive ground investigation and groundworks and then surfacing operations before the furniture installation. This provided a brand new playground facility for the school that does not flood!
